Today I am back with my “What I ate Wednesday?” article. I really enjoyed writing my first one last week so I decided that it will be happening every week now 🙂 It is basically an extract of my meal plan for one day!
I absolutely obsessed with smoothie bowls these days, it has been my go to
breakfast for the past weeks. It is so easy and delicious! This morning I put half a frozen banana, 1 cup of frozen strawberries, 1 cup of frozen pineapple and some low fat milk. I always top it with granola (My favourite is Trader Joe’s Organic Granny’s apple granola, you HAVE to try it 🙂 ) and some honey! Since I started my journey, I am trying to eat slower, usually a meal would have been eaten in like 3 minutes (I am not kidding you!), now I take 15 to 20 minutes and I don’t have cravings anymore before lunch!
I started meal prepping on weekends, so my lunch was pretty easy to make (and that was good because I was starving!). Meal prepping is so good for me because I usually snack when I am preparing my food so having to just heat up things definitely helps me to be healthy. I forgot to take a picture but it was pretty simple: chicken, brown rice and zucchini!
For an easy and healthy snack I eat some cucumber, cherry tomatoes and whole grain crackers. You can not go wrong with veggies for snack!
My boyfriend surprised me with a delicious dinner for our dating anniversary and I (finally) had dessert yaaaaay 🙂 He is such a good cook I am very lucky! So he made chicken with a cheese, white wine, butter sauce, green beans with lemon pepper and rosemary roasted potatoes. Annnnnd for dessert he bought hazelnut chocolate cupcakes, they were soooooo good 🙂
